Things you need to knowEvery faucet’s longevity is subject to the condition of the water that flows through it. Your new Dishmaster® M2000 is no exception. Water quality causes the most variation in the performance of a Dishmaster® Faucet and water conditions vary greatly throughout the country. In addition, the unique design of your Dishmaster® M2000 that allows it to dispense suds at the touch of a button means it has more components than the typical faucet. We have no control over the condition of your water and therefore do not warranty seals or rubber components. However, with proper care, your Dishmaster® M2000 will give you many years of reliable service. Dishmaster® has been around since 1948 and it is not at all unusual for Dishmaster® Faucets to stay in service for many years. Please take a few minutes to read through this manual and become familiar with the use and care of your new Dishmaster® M2000. Thank you for being a Dishmaster® Customer and thank you for your confidence in our product.
Your sink/counter must have 3 holes (minimum 1 ¼” diameter) on 4” centers.
A minimum of 20 pounds of water pressure is required for the satisfactory operation of your Dishmaster® M2000. Having water pressure that is too high (80+psi) can cause the diverter to not stay engaged in the up position. See the Diverter Rod section on the Maintenance page.
We recommend you prep the removal of your old faucet twenty-four hours before you plan to install your new Dishmaster® M2000 by spraying the old fittings with penetrating oil. We strongly recommend that you have shut-off valves. We believe flexible supply lines are the most convenient way to connect your water supply for sink/countertop installation. Visit the Installation page for help with the removal of your old faucet.
Do NOT spread inlet tubes apart until flange nuts are in place during installation. Visit the Installation page for the complete installation instructions.
Per Standard ASME A112.18.1-2005 your Dishmaster® M2000 delivers a maximum of 2.2 gallons of water per minute (2.2gpm) (8.3L/min) at 60 pounds per square inch (60psi) of pressure.
Your Dishmaster® M2000 is designed to use liquid detergents ONLY. Do NOT attempt to use soaps or soap powders. We recommend Dishmaster® Liquid Detergent Concentrate. It has been specifically formulated for use in your Dishmaster® M2000. It has no phosphates, no enzymes, no citrus additives, no lotions and is biodegradable. Other name brand liquid detergents may work in your Dishmaster® M2000. Do NOT use detergents with citrus additives, as they may cause premature deterioration of the rubber and metal components. Do NOT use detergents with lotion additives.
Avoid crimping or placing objects on the clear plastic detergent tube as doing so will prevent the flow of detergent to your Dishmaster M2000.
Clean your Dishmaster® M2000 with mild soap and water. Do NOT use abrasive or industrial strength cleansers. Harsh cleaning solutions will destroy your Dishmaster® M2000’s finish and may chemically weaken its plastic parts. Decorative finishes are relatively delicate and require special attention to ensure their beauty.
We are constantly improving the design and material content of the parts used in our Dishmaster® faucets. After development and testing, we incorporate these improvements into production. Any part improved in this manner is interchangeable with the part(s) it replaces. When new style parts are supplied on a parts order they are interchangeable with the old parts.
